“Be honest. Stand for something. Have integrity. Do things that scare you. Keep your mind sharp. Nourish your body. Pay it forward. Do your best work every time no matter what that work is. Set goals. Nurture relationships. Enjoy every day. Listen. Don’t take shit from anyone. Be passionate about something. Master your emotions. Speak with purpose.”
When I recorded my first episode about 5-7 weeks ago, I knew I wanted to immerse myself into the world of podcasting. I was so nervous to record that first episode, but I’m so glad I did. A couple weeks after that, I launched the Risk Without Regret podcast on iTunes and I was humbled by how many people around the world cared about it. As soon as the first few episodes went live, I knew I was going to do a recap of everything after the first month. Well, here it is.

“Asking questions is embarrassing for a moment, but not asking is embarrassing for a lifetime.”
“It took getting everything I ever wanted to realize I didn’t want everything I ever wanted.”
-Joshua Fields Millburn (The Minimalists)
“If you’re going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start. It could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives, and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery or isolation.
Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance of how much you really want to do it. And you’ll do it despite rejection and the worst odd. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine.
If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.”
