Will It Fly by Pat Flynn. As you probably know, I’m a big fan of Pat as I’ve mentioned him in several of the episodes, so it was a no-brainer to add this book to my Amazon wishlist. About a week ago, I jumped on a Skype call with my friend Jason Reaves from the Live Life Loudly podcast. After helping him for a couple hours, he said he wanted to thank me by sending me this book. Thanks again Jason, it was much appreciated!

So it showed up a few days later and I started reading it instantly. It’s already adding a lot of value but the coolest part is the free online companion course that comes with it. This book is all about testing your next business idea at the beginning so you don’t waste a lot of time and money. Most people just build something and hope people want it. You know that old quote, “If you build it, they will come.” That’s terrible biz advice and that’s why their business usually fails. So if this sounds awesome to you, just visit riskwithoutregret.com/willitfly and order this book today!

The Art of Risk by Kayt Sukel. I actually interviewed Kayt last week for an upcoming episode of the podcast. We dig deep into the science of why certain people take huge risks on a daily basis and why some people never take risks at all. Her book comes out March 1st but you can pre-order it today (if you’re reading this before 3/1/16). Once it officially releases, you can buy it at the same link. So if you’re ready to learn more about your brain on risks, just go to riskwithoutregret.com/artofrisk.

RWR-024: 13 Reasons Why I’m Glad I Was Fired From My Job

After reading that title, you must be thinking I’m crazy. How could someone be happy or grateful about losing a job? That sounds terrible! Well, trust me, so many good things can come from a negative situation like this.

Today marks four years of being free from the old 9-5. It’s crazy how fast time flies, but they say that happens when you’re having fun, right? There are probable more than 13 reasons why I’m glad to be where I’m at but these are the main ones. Things like not having to set an alarm clock all the way to inspiring others and so many other good ones.

So hopefully when you listen to this episode, you’re able to think how this relates to you and your job and what changes you might want to make in your career or life. Enjoy!

RWR-023: Michael Carbone on Being an Ironman & Hosting Successful Webinars

Today’s guest is Michael Carbone. He’s originally from Canada where he went down the typical path of going to college and getting a corporate job. You know, just doing the standard 9-5 grind that so many people do. Everything seemed great from the outside, but inside, he was feeling unfulfilled. Unfortunately, most people stay in this position their whole lives and never make a change. But Michael was different.

He’s going to share his story about how an Ironman race changed his life, how teaching others to win more at online poker was a gamechanger, why webinars are so lucrative, as well as using fear to force you to take more action in your life. And towards the end, he talks about traveling to Paris a few months ago… the day after the terrorist attacks. He elaborates on how that experience can relate to business, as well as showing you how fragile life is and why you should live your life to the fullest everyday.

This is definitely one of my favorite conversations so far, and I know you’re going to take several things away from this episode. Enjoy!

RWR-022: Minimize Distractions and Stay Focused

I’m in the middle of this amazing book and I stumbled across this epic quote: “You can make your dream happen a lot quicker with two simple tips: 1) cutting out the distractions, and 2) focusing on what is most important.” This quote was taken from the book Stop Chasing Influencers by Kimanzi Constable and Jared Easley. Listen to this short podcast episode where I dig in deeper and really explain what this quote means and how it can relate to you.
